Be a Freaking Unicorn Sweater Kits are here! This next to skin soft yarn comes from Laura at Twin Oaks Fibre Farm in Guelph, Ontario and is some of my favorite non-superwash to work with! Laura’s yarn is so squishy and soft! It is suitable for all types of projects and is a BFL/Romney mix. Not to mention that you can see from the sample that it knits up beautifully!!
The pattern shown is Aurealis by Jenn Steingass (NOT included)
This listing is for a WORSTED SWEATER KIT which includes 6 skeins of Worsted in one of three natural colors: cream, grey or brown-black. Sweater kits are also available in DK yarn.
Once you have chosen your main yarn, you will be prompted to choose a hand-dyed skein as well.
As these are Be a Freaking Unicorn products, 20% of all sweater kit sales will be donated to The AIDS Network here in Hamilton ON.
So not only are you supporting a small indie-dyer, but also a local farm and a local LGBTQ+ organization!

Be a Freaking Unicorn is a project started by a group of Ontario-based independent dyers, centred around the concept that everyone has a unique creative perspective to bring to the table.
Designed to support our local LGBTQ+ communities, a minimum of $5 CAD per skein sold (or 20% of other products) from my Be a Freaking Unicorn shop section will be donated to The AIDS Network in Hamilton ON.
We believe: That artists should be paid for their work, in spreading joy one colourful skein at a time, and in the importance of supporting our local LGBTQ+ organizations (especially a year into the COVID-19 pandemic!)
On May 1st, a gallery will be launched on this site to showcase the yarn, fibre, and projects bags with links to each participating maker’s website. From May 1st-24th 2021, we invite you to shop directly from participating makers!
During the month of June, we encourage you to make something with your new stash, and use the hashtags #BAFU, #ifytbaubafu and #beafreakingunicorn to share it.
