Night Sky has become a repeatable colourway that I carry regularly and it began as a speckling experiment.
These 3 skeins are yet another accidental experiment because undyed basic sock yarn and undyed meriboo sock yarn pretty much look the same in the bag….and I mixed them up! Oops!
I use a number of different dyes, chosen for the way they mix and create other shades… All is topped off by a layer of navy-purple which muted some of the brighter speckles but gives some subtlety and depth to the overall feeling of the yarn 😍 💙💜
Meriboo is a tiny bit thinner than my basic sock yarn so you get a little bit more yardage. It still makes great socks as both the bamboo AND the nylon offer added strength to the fibre, allowing it to stand up to sock usage 😀 The bamboo also gives the yarn a beautiful sheen and a subtle, sheer translucent top layer that softens all the colours.
MERIBOO SOCK YARN
70% superwash merino 20% bamboo 10% nylon
115g/450 yards per skein
NOTES RE HAND-DYED YARNS:
Be aware that colors may appear differently on different computer monitors, but every effort has been made to portray them as accurately as possible.
All of my yarns are hand dyed and, as much as I attempt to match, every batch is one-of-a-kind. Be sure to order what you need as matching future batches are not guaranteed.
When using hand-dyed yarns in a project that requires more than one skein, it is strongly recommended to alternate skeins every other row of knitting to even out any differences.
Lastly, as with any hand dyed yarn, please expect minor imperfections and some variation from skein to skein (even within the same batch), as each skein is individually hand painted.
